• Forest Magazine - Forest Magazine is a nationally distributed publication that explores issues pertaining to America’s system of national forests. We prefer high resolution color digital images and color transparencies. Negatives and glossy prints can be used, but are discouraged as final print quality suffers. All images should include a succinct explanation of the subject, information regarding photo credit and return information. Basic rate for photos is $25 to $35 per published image. Pets

• REPTILES magazine - Profile photos of animals are always welcome, both close ups and full-body images. We also like to see photos of the animals in different situations, such as basking, eating, drinking, mating, climbing, etc. Photos of entire enclosures are also welcome. Photos of common pet species are used more often, but we welcome all submissions, whether common or rare species, captive or wild, etc. Potential cover photos are generally vertical shots of the animal positioned to the right, leaving open space for cover blurbs to the left of the animal. There should also be space above the animal, to allow room for the magazine's title above it. What rights do we purchase? We buy first-time North American rights, meaning the photos you submit should not have appeared in print in any North American publication, including magazines, newsletters, etc. They also should not be posted on any websites. • Snowboard Colorado magazine - Snowboard Colorado is the only free snowboarding magazine distributed throughout the entire state of Colorado. This must-read, full color, lifestyle magazine features 100 plus pages of high-resolution photography, product reviews and cutting edge content including monthly columns by leading industry professionals. • Texas Highways magazine - E-mail a detailed query letter outlining your idea before sending actual photo files and captions. To be considered for an assignment, please e-mail the photo editor a portfolio that includes five of your best images. The image files should be low-resolution, 72 dpi JPG files, and measure no more than 14 inches on the longest side. Texas Highways also accepts artistic and unusual photography for consideration for the monthly inside-back-cover department, “Window on Texas.” If you are contracted for an assignment, plan to submit the highest quality images possible.
