What is a good lens for shooting model photography or people.

I have been a nature photography ever since the first time I got my first Canon 40D camera. I am an amateur photographer in Modeling and a female friend of mine wants me to take photos of her for an occasion. Are there are any websites or any homemade tips from the professionals?

Has anyone ever tried out these photographers: Ken Weingart, Zero Dean, Tommy Shih? Any personal experience with them? If so do you you recommend them?Have any buddies that have tried them out? I'm looking to upload my portfolio and I really want to get a good photographer that has an affordable price. If you don't know any of the listed would you kindly aid me in finding any more in the area of LA, please? By the way I'm looking for a photographer for my modeling portfolio, not to be a photographer. Really would appreciate the help. *sigh*.

What can i do to become a photography model? and by photography model i mean not a model who walks down a runway but a model who only gets pictures taken of in photo shots. like the pictures can appear like in magazines or calenders.

here's the thing I don't want to have to graduate from photography school. I don't want to move to have to move to CA or NY to go to college. I want to get my degree in something more economic friendly. I need something as a backup plan. Can I just take a few courses and apply to places? What places should I apply to besides newspapers and magazines?

I need a super digital camera. One that can take pictures of models out doors and on a back drop. It would be great if there was a camera that could take excelent night photos such as a model down town. You can see her perfectly and all the lights behind her not either or. I need the images to be crystal clear for photoshot retouching. I plan to invest so I want the best. I need a super digital camera one that can take pictures of model on a back drop and outdoors. It would be nice if there were such a camera that could take pictures as night via you can see the model clearly and all the city lights behind her. I don't know anything about cameras so what I should buy with it would be helpful such as items to sync it up with my computer what type of lens what kind of batteries etc. Also I feel I should note that I have no flash equipment I for right now just want to depend on the cameras flash so it should be a good one with possible settings if they make cameras like that. Im going to invest so I only want the best.

Anyone have tips on model horse photography?

I am currently taking a photography class at my college and for our final project I need to find a model. Seeing as how I am a college student I do not have alot of money and need any help. I am located in the Southeastern Wisconsin area.

Would like to help Models to build their portfolio's. I have advanced Photography and Digital Art skills. Where can I find Models and what can I expect to get paid? Any ideas would really be helpful in this new venture.

I did a photo shoot and the parent signed my usual 'model release form for minor' so I can use the photos online and in advertising my portfolio etc. Now she says she is rescinding it... Is that even legal? What is the point of signing a contract if you can just rescind / revoke it whenever you please? There is no protection for photographers if this is the case! Because I offer a discounted price when I can use the photos! Does anyone know the legalities of this???

Okay, so I'm looking to expand my skills as a photographer, and I was wondering if you guys had any tips on how to choose models. I was thinking of using a friend. Are there any traits, personality-wise or appearance-wise, that you prefer in your models? If you could provide any tips on coming up with creative poses for my model, that would be very much appreciated too. Thank you all in advance. :D

What are they? For example a boudoir session type.

This would be work with individual photographers. It would be a friends-of-friends type situation, not very formal, no contract probably, and I doubt they'd know what to pay anymore than I'd know what to charge. Does anyone have an idea of an appropriate basic per-hour fee? This will be in Japan, by the way, if that makes a difference that anyone is aware. But a dollar estimate would be helpful too.

i may have the oppertunity to sell it it the future....but photographers can snap pics of celebrities and sell them to supermarket rags without a release?
