I'm looking for a cost efficient canon lens that is suitable for architectural photography.
The lens must have sensor cleaning. I'm not too worried about the brand but it must be a reasonable price and fit the Canon EOS 550d.

my best go would be a 2.8 14-24.
I heard canon just raised the price on there glass on Feb 1st so you might want to look into the cheaper route and possibly go for a sigma

What Stephen suggested would be a good choice on full frame cameras, but on crop frame such as yours it won't be all that wide. You'll want at least 11mm.

Myself, i use the Tokina 11-16 - it has a reputation for being particularly sharp, especially in the corners. Out of all these lenses, it's also the most low-light capable, but it's zoom range is very limited.
