I am currently taking a photography class at my college and for our final project I need to find a model. Seeing as how I am a college student I do not have alot of money and need any help. I am located in the Southeastern Wisconsin area.

Try craigslist.org
Or try to find a friend to do it for free/cheap. Answer 2
What I used to do in college is put 'wanted ads' in the theater building. Be honest and upfront in your intentions so you don't sound like you're trying to get a date with them. Encourage them to bring someone else or a friend to make sure they're comfortable during the shoot, and offer free prints for their time (TFP).
I would schedule about 2 shoots a week just to practice. Actors are great in front of the camera, and they like to practice as well, especially since you're both still in college. Answer 3
In a college setting, it should be quite easy to find models. The first place to start is with other students in the class. There is nothing at all wrong with class members modeling for each other.
If that doesn't work, ask friends who are not in your class. Ask a significant other. Ask the art department where they get models for their drawing and painting classes. Or you could post announcements around campus that you are seeking models (perhaps this is something that you could organize for your entire class).
Other options include placing announcements at the local gym - people who work out regularly tend to be narcissistic and make good models.
If the on-campus options fail, you could always go to Craig's List. << GO BACK to questions
