I sent out a bunch of emails to photographers and none of them said they needed any help. I'm not going to major in photography because I can't afford it. Is there anything I can do to learn?

Yes, college for business and a good liberal arts degree. You can start with your local college even at the community college as you work at what ever it takes. glam. photography is fun but until you can SELL it you will not make any money. Until you can understand the money flow you will go broke, until you can pay the bills for the studio strobe set, the Mac computer, the phone pages ad and the insurances your stuck with a money loosing situation. So, equipment for starting is a degree.. Does not, should not be a photo degree only.. the business and the broader your classes the more you will be able to make what ever you want to do with life.
