Here's a classic GWC in the making -- a "Guy with a Camera," as models call them, meaning a guy with minimal equipment and no training, who's real motivation is getting women to take off their clothes in front of him. Photography is an art that requires study and practice, and a very difficult way to make money, even for talented, hard-working, highly trained, well-equipped photographers, much less people who are asking "How do you do it for less than $200?"

Marco is right about the last part. Not the rest though. 200$ isn't even a starting point. For photos which you could sell, you need at least, and i mean AT LEAST $400. You need a good SLR, and at least one good lens. I can recommend a lens just about within the price, the Nikkor 50mm f/1.4. You can pick them up for almost nothing second hand. And they are truly amazing portraiture lens's I admire where your coming from, but you need to be more realistic here. Im not trying to break your dreams, but if your for real about this you need to get real. Also, You wont be finding any work as a glamour photographer without clients seeing your work, and hearing your name. For obvious reasons, you cant just go shoot any semi-nude lady! Can I suggest you do some portrait work, fix up a portfolio, to give people an idea of your work. That will be far more professional, and you'll find getting work allot easier. Good luck, keep at it and dont let your self get kicked in the teeth by the less helpful photographers. If this is what you want, go for it buddy.

Not getting into the fight here but frankly, you need a lot more money to get something for digital. Film cameras used you could do but then the film cost and developing just blows the budget now. I know, have just put it all to paper last month. I shoot over 300 images for a shoot. SD card holds all of them, cost less then $20.00 Cost of film to do that at $6.50 a roll =$65.00 plus developing plus CD and cheap prints 10x7= $70.00 plus the gas to get to and from the lab. Then the larger prints for the model they cost a base of $12.00 each when finished fully. So, getting a slr body, lenses and lighting to do it right I have a bottom line of $174.00 for one print to the subject. Cost to them SHOULD be 10x cost or $1240.00... I am very good and can not get that. Digital, SD card $20.00, CD to show and sell off of.. $1.00.. very nice finished print, retouched by a great Photoshop shop, $35.00 Print cost $29.00 for much larger print =$60.00, cost for a WALL print not small desk top print $600.00. worth the cost for them and I can get it.. Doing anything cheaper is just that, cheap and lowers the living standard of all involved. May as well go work for the sears, walmart, etc studio for $8.00 an hour. So cost of the hardware, cheap at $7000.00 to do digital and pay for it over 5 years when you buy much of it as you have to for taxes and the new stuff just rocks and does a lot better job. So, there you have it.... go to college, get a business degree and make money.
