I'm a sophomore in high school and I plan on being a wildlife/ nature photographer. What other than photography should I try to take classes in? Also, what else can I do now to improve my photography skills other than taking a lot of shots and photography classes?

im not sure what to major in. you might want to take some nature classes like survival and learn about each kind of setting you will be in. also, maybe some languages if you plan to travel, but that isn't very important. to get better, obviously take a lot of shot. not only that, but try to get a variety of shots in different settings, such as forest, plains, desserts, (southwest area) ect. from personal experience i will tell you to never get lazy with it because it happened to me and my skills went down a little. Answer 2
You should skip the photography classes entirely and study wildlife biology. Answer 3
Keep shooting is the most important thing! I would highly recommend taking business classes associated with photography you will not regret this. You could always go after a fine art photography degree, but I also would recommend in your college days to get into all kinds of different photography like product for example this will give you new understandings of light and only add to you succeeding in wildlife/ nature. << GO BACK to questions
