What prices should I set for my photography business?

I am opening a photography business and I want to know what I should charge for a sitting fee and then for prints. And if you would like to give any tips on anything, i would greatly appreciate it. (: Thanks!

Answer 1

depends on what theme you will be shooting and the size of prints..you need to be more specific..Know your camera and keep on shooting..

Answer 2

Honestly, if I were doing it I would try to figure out how much I would spend on each sitting, how much overhead, and calculate a price that I think my work is worth. Plus you might alter your pricing if you offer a cd, versus not offering one. However, do a search of photographers around you and offer similar pricing. That might be your easiest bet. Good luck.
