I am looking for courses in jewelry Photography
any Info???
i know photoshop and my work now required to take some pic of jewelry
i have the camera but it is not coming out the way i want it
am looking for hand on courses

Get yourself a Light Tent to get that soft even light required to avoid 'highlight burn out' in any shiny object. Try it I think you'll find you don't need an expensive course.

I am not sure which school in NY would offer just one course never mint so specific. I would call the community colleges and see what they offer. Your best bed would be to get a book or video on the subject if you don't have time to work as an assistant with a photographer who specializes on jewelry. It takes a lot of attention to details. The lighting has to be right on and then the color of the metal needs to right as well as any stones used in the shot. The jewelry shooters I know use tends around their objects. You can find them at B&H Photo in NY. The best advise to give to your boss is to hire a professional Photographer. Answer 3
