I'm a HS Sophomore and I'm interested in being a Fashion Photographer. I do have a learning disability and would possibly like to attend a school with services. I have done the College Matchmake on collegeboard.com and so far no schools have really caught my interest.

When you go to art school, you won't have to take any math or language classes and only a few writing classes. Most won't have good formalized services, but will have small classes and (for the most part) understanding professors who will work with you one-on-one.
Art Center in LA is very good. It definitely has a Hollywood influence.
Brooks is also a great school, very good technical education, and exclusively focused on commercial photography.
Parsons may be a good choice because it also has a good fashion school, and you would be going to school with aspiring young fashion designers.
School of Visual Arts in NYC is probably the best art school in the country for merging artistic and practical/commercial.
Most of the teachers here are successful artists and professional photographers who only teach a few classes while they spend most of their time on their own big time commercial jobs or gallery shows. Lots of opportunities for real world experiences as NYC is the center of the fashion industry. sva.edu
Not sure that I'd recommend RIT, although it has an amazing reputation, i I think you'll get a better overall experience being in NYC or LA.

for starters any community college will give the education needed to start... a semester or two there and then try the schools fhotoace mentioned... at community college you'll get the experience necessary to build an acceptable portfolio to be accepted in those other schools. << GO BACK to questions
