Looking at classes for college and am wondering what the big difference is between the two

Not an expert, but I'd say in commercial photography, you'll be fulfilling your clients wishes, and in Fine Art photography, you shoot what you
want, how you want, the look you want,etc. Answer 2
Fine Art is in the medium, Commercial is for a client. One can encompass the other.
