All Answers To QuestionsAnswer 1
If you don't even know the basics you're not ready for a photography business.
Stick with casual shooting for now and take the time to learn the ins and outs of photography and business before starting one. Answer 2
Id take a photography class first and get a good camera and ur def. not ready for a business Answer 3
Profepix,
I cannot recommend strongly enough that you take a least one year of business classes in college! You also need to take a professional photography program. There are millions of photographers out there who have already done so. You will not be able to compete with them unless you get the education. People in the field go to the professors and tell them what they need, so going to college also gets you the most current career information. Check out the program here:

And could you please tell me how long is a piece of string!!!
Your question is impossible to answer without knowing what your skills are, where you are, what type of photography business you are planning etc etc. Answer 5
You do not need college for photography nor business; some people can learn without going to college.
First off you will need a portfolio of 100 or more pictures that can be sold.
Starting a business takes months to years of planning. Then it takes years to start making a profit. It is very expensive so you will go in debt. You will also need to buy a store or rent one. You will then have to get insurance which will cost a lot. And so on...
I haven't read much into starting a business yet but the above is common knowledge. Starting a business will run into tens of thousands of dollars and you will not make a profit for a long time. Camera gear alone will be 10,000 or more because you can't get away with just one camera. If you do wildlife it will be 20,000 or more on gear (a great wildlife lens easily cost 10,000 USD).
But with the information you have given us we can't really help you. Answer 6
First you need to mention which area of the photography business.
You can find tons of information ones you are more specific.

Pretty much you should have a start up capital which can support you up to 5 years. Make a business plan for the 5 year. That includes how to promote yourself, website, mailers, portfolios and mailing lists. Estimate the cost of doing business and how much of an income you need to support yourself and your overhead. Remember to include insurance and retirement planing. Most all of those site I mention above have some kind of list on how to calculate this number.
