Personally, I would choose the 5D because of the full frame sensor. The size of the sensor allows your lenses to function as designed, plus the larger sensor allows larger pixel size which in turn gives the very high quality photos and clean high ISO noise results for which these cameras are noted. I use a 1Ds myself with L lenses exclusively. steve
