How to get a better digital food photography?

All Answers To Questions

Answer 1

colors and reflection light

Answer 2

Food photography is product photography. Start with a good DSLR Camera. I use a 17 to 55mm Wide angel lens for this. A light box will help light your food. You can buy a expensive one or make one out of a cardboard box and some gauze and some cheap lights. Here is a link http://www.wikihow.com/Create-an-Inexpensive-Photography-Lightbox. Use a tripod on your camera. Good luck!

Answer 3

Answer 4

Use a light tent evenly lit from both sides, white seamless, correct depth of field for the product. Have the camera on a tripod. One of my Flcikr contacts does a lot of food type shots - have a look here; http://www.flickr.com/photos/le-bon/sets/72157621921394925/

Answer 5

You might find the book "Food Styling for Photographers'' by Linda Bellingham and Jean Ann Bybee of interest. RANGEFINDER magazine published a 2nd. excerpt from the book in the Sept. 2010 issue. You can get a free subscription or just read the articles at http://www.rangefindermag.com
