Good Camera for Watch and Jewelry Photography NO NOISE?

I run a small watch company and sell watches online. I have used a couple cameras in the past couple years. And am trying to find a camera that has less noise. It seems like every camera i use has a lot of noise. I just bought my girlfriend a HP R937 and as you can see from this photo at 8mp is is vary grainy, Shot at 100iso and on a tripod. http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n248/mabmojo/vintradio012.jpg The Cannon That I used for years gave me better results and it was only a 3mp http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/2/1/3/2/0/8/webimg/114643389_o.jpg Any one have any good suggestions on what camera to get with out breaking the bank. Canon Eos 400D, Is out of my budget looks to be about $800. The Cannon Powershot A300 i think now is probably about $50 and that takes better pictures then both my R937 by hp and my fujifilm. Yes I had a macro lens for my Fujifilm S5000 however the S5000 over compressed the jpg images so that there was a bunch of noise in the image. Im looking in the $200 range. It can be an older camera. Agian i just need crisp photos, Dont need 10mp, Just a real clean 3mp =)

Answer 1

You could buy a DSLR, with a Macro lens. The DSLRs has less noise then compact cameras. Canon Eos 400D/450D are two great cameras, and you can buy the with kit lenses, and you can go quite close with these lenses. (If you want a macro lens you can turn the kit lens back wards, it works great)

Answer 2

you should buy a dslr camera, for example nikon d60

Answer 3

While a DSLR with a macro lens would be optimum, I have got good results with an old Sony Mavica. Take a good look at your set up. You may get more bang for your buck with a light tent or light box. You can get more diffused light on an object without wash out. It will also help avoid getting your own reflection in the photo. This will give you a more professional appearance to your photos.
