I own a Nikon coolpix L10, is it good enough to take food photograph?
All Answers To QuestionsAnswer 1
The camera is only as good as the photographer. Answer 2
Depends on if they are personal or professional photos. Answer 3
Actually you would be amaze at what your camera can do if you place it in the hands of a good photographer. The great photographers will worry about lighting conditions before worrying about the camera.
btw, your camera is more than good enough. Answer 4
It's all about lighting. And lighting. YOU will have to become a food artist, as nothing ever looks good enough. And then you have to know about proper lighting. A soft box might help, but your camera would be adequate for general purposes. If you want to get published or do commercial work, you will want to get into an SLR with a high quality macro lens. And decent lighting.
See B&H Photo or Adorama and click on links for lighting equipment. You can learn a lot just by seeing what is available. B&H Photo is available through a link at Yahoo! Shopping, www.bhphoto.com or at 1-800-622-4987. See also http://www.resellerratings.com/store/B_H_Photo_Video_Pro_Audio Answer 5
The camera is only as good as the photographers eye behind it. Lighting and styling of the product are far more important. But if you are looking to save money by not hiring a professional. I would recommend that you spend the money on a professional. He/she will see and know things you can't even imagine. It may cost more upfront but will save you money and make you money if you are advertising food. << GO BACK to questions
