I am looking to sell my photos online with a stock photography website. I would like one that gives me rights and pays more than just £1 for a photo. I reside in the UK and therefore require a global website or one that would allow a UK resident to deal with them, If you could give me links I would be very grateful.

Try Alamy or Getty Images. Alamy is based in the U.k.
They are both pretty strict as far as what they accept. As a rule you need to have shot all photos with a minimum of a 6mp DSLR in Raw format. All photos need to be perfect. Perfect exposure, composition, focus etc. You negotiate the price with the people who are buying them and pay the agency a percentage. Good luck Answer 2
You will be very lucky to get as much as £1 for pics from a stock site.
Feature pics allow you to set the price of pics they accept and take a commission on sales, however if you set £1 unless the pics are VERY exceptional they won't sell. Average price is around $0.75c.
